The Kids of Catan
The Settlers of Catan is now playable for children ages 4 and up! The rules are a bit different, but the essence of the game is unchanged. Give your child the opportunity to explore the wonders of Catan the way older people can.
Each player starts with a few buildings to place, which uses wagons containing one of each resource: wood, bricks and wheat.
Roll the dice to determine how far the wagons will travel. If a child's wagon stops next to a resource they need, they can load it up.
Once the wagon is full of the three resources, your child gets to build a house! Watch them marvel at their achievement. Make sure the house is placed in the appropriate location in the village. Once the house is built, the resources are returned so that another child can have his/her turn.
Once all your houses are built, then you can turn your attention to building the Town Hall. The winner is the one who completes the Town Hall.
The Kids of Catan is also designed to let childrens' imagination wander. Let them play with the buildings and make their own adventure in the wonderful world of Catan.
